Toad medicine facilitator Dr. Gerry and I talk about the infamous Brugmansia Tree, closely related to and possessing similar qualities as Datura. The science and the cultural traditions.

Datura/Brugmansia: They belong to different genera, Datura and Brugmansia, respectively. But they both belong to the Solanaceae-family, the nightshade or potato-family. However, both Datura and Brugmansia belong to the “tribe” of Daturae. Daturas are herbaceous annuals, while Brugmansias are woody perennials. You should definitely refer to them as distinct genera of plants, though they are closely related.
